MicroStrategy offers three types of certification programs:

• Comprehensive Certifications

A combination of Focus Area certifications coupled with a hands-on project to validate mastery in development, implementation or customization. Individuals eligible to attend the Comprehensive Certification Programs are those who have passed the pre-requisite Focus Area Certifications.

Comprehensive Certification Options include

• MicroStrategy Certified Developer (MCD)
• MicroStrategy Certified Engineer (MCE)
• MicroStrategy Certified Engineering Principal (MCEP)

• Focus Area Certifications

A combination of standard courses reinforced by hands-on activity, culminating with a written exam. These certifications focus on a functional area and are designed to validate proficiency in a certain aspect of full life-cycle development and deployment using the MicroStrategy platform.

• Renewal Certifications

Enable those who have previously passed a Comprehensive Certification Program to renew their certification status for the next 12 months by passing a written exam.

MicroStrategy's Comprehensive Certifications are valid for 12 months from date of attainment. Once certification is achieved, the Renewal Certifications allow an individual to keep current on the MicroStrategy platform and maintain their certification status over time. An individual must renew their certification through the respective Renewal Certification in order to maintain their certified status with MicroStrategy. The modular structure of all MicroStrategy Certifications help individuals achieve certification and keep their certified status with minimal disruption in their busy schedules.
